iGlobal Desk

Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor, the daughter of the late Sridevi, has been delighting her fans on social media with her dance journey through the coronavirus lockdown.

Her latest is a graceful dance throwback to the contemporary classic ‘San Sanana’ from the film ‘Asoka’, which has generated close nearly 3 million views.

As well as her acting skills, Kapoor is passionate about dance and has been arduously honing the craft throughout lockdown phase.

Seen as a rising star of Indian cinema, the actress has been making waves in the film world with her starring role in the female-centric ‘Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl’. Her debut feature was ‘Dhadak’ opposite Ishaan Khatter and there are a number of other projects currently in the pipeline for the young actress.

Audiences have taken a liking not only to her on-screen skills but her charming personality off camera as well, according to her media team.

As a multi-talented artiste, it is only natural for Kapoor to enjoy and excel at dance and she regularly posts clips of her rehearsals and routines on social media.

In her latest video, she even pokes fun at herself by captioning the clip: Missing post burrito belly dance sessions.

Her fellow industry friends and fans have been showering her with praise and fire and heart-eye emojis, applauding her skills.

It had recently emerged that her younger sister, Khushi Kapoor, will be following in the footsteps of their mother into the Bollywood acting arena. Their father, producer Boney Kapoor, revealed that both his daughters are equally passionate about the silver screen. However, he said that it would not be under his banner that his daughter would make her big screen Bollywood debut as he would like her to forge an independent path.

"I would want Khushi to find her own footing. She will be launched by someone I respect and someone I feel secure and safe about," he told ‘Bombay Times’.
