Indian Foreign Minister meets diaspora on Zimbabwe tour

Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan, who is on an official visit to Zimbabwe, interacted with members of the Indian community in Harare.

Taking to Twitter, Muraleedharan said he highlighted some of the positive developments in India during the interaction with the diaspora.

"Pleased to interact with the vibrant Indian community in Zimbabwe. Highlighted some of the positive developments in India. The community has earned a name for itself through their hard work. Their contribution to Zimbabwe is noteworthy, their connect with India is exemplary," the minister tweeted.

Muraleedharan arrived in Harare on June 6. The MoS was received by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of Zimbabwe, David Musabayana upon his arrival.

During the visit to Zimbabwe, MoS Muraleedharan will call on Emmerson D. Mnangagwa, President of Zimbabwe. The Minister will also meet other senior leaders of the country.

The MoS will also hold discussions with Dr. Frederick Shava, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of Zimbabwe on various matters to enhance mutual cooperation.

Muraleedharan will also review the progress of the development assistance projects under the Government of India Lines of Credit (LoCs) and Grants in both countries.
