Honoured to be depicting Lord Shiva in epic ‘Kannappa’: Akshay Kumar

The highly anticipated teaser for ‘Kannappa’, an epic Telugu historical drama based on the legendary tale of Kannappa – a devotee of Lord Shiva, dropped this week.

Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar, actor-producer Vishnu Manchu, director Mukesh Kumar Singh, and other key members of the cast and crew gathered to celebrate the moment. Kumar shared his excitement about stepping into the role of Lord Shiva.

He said: “At first, I wasn’t sure but Vishnu's unwavering belief that I was the right person to bring Lord Shiva to life on the big screen in Indian cinema truly convinced me. The story is powerful, deeply moving, and the film has turned out to be a visual masterpiece. I’m honoured to be a part of this incredible journey.”

Vishnu Manchu, who portrays the titular character of Kannappa, shared his personal connection to the film.
