India has made quite a mark at the Tokyo Olympics, with some great wins and spectacular displays. The Indian men's hockey team bagged the Bronze medal at the Olympics and Indians the world over have been celebrating this milestone.

"Historic! A day that will be etched in the memory of every Indian," Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted moments after the team made history as it claimed an Olympic medal after a gap of 41 years.

From being down 1-3, the incredible Indian hockey team went on to beat Germany 5-4 to claim the Olympic Bronze. Team Captain Manpreet Singh has dedicated the medal to the country’s Covid-19 warriors.

On the other end of the spectrum, the women's hockey team led by Rani Rampal lost against Great Britain in their Bronze medal match after a brave display of strength and courage.

'Chak De India' star Shah Rukh Khan has been keenly following the Olympics. A little disappointed with this news he took to his Twitter handle to express his feelings and lauded the players for their exceptional game.

He said: "Heartbreak!!! But all reasons to hold our heads high. Well played Indian Women's Hockey Team. You all inspired everyone in India. That itself is a victory."
