Akshay Kumar turns ‘Sarfira’ for latest true-life drama

The much-hyped trailer for Akshay Kumar's upcoming film ‘Sarfira’ dropped recently and has left fans quite impressed with his portrayal of Vir Mhatre in this true-life inspired drama set for release on July 12.

Recently, Kumar set the internet abuzz with his first look from ‘Sarfira’ – his salt-and-pepper bearded appearance attracted widespread fan admiration. Now, the dramatic trailer showcases his powerful performance and passionate expressions, bringing Vir Mhatre to life. With Paresh Rawal posing continuous challenges and Radhikka Madan as his steadfast support, the drama in ‘Sarfira’ – which roughly translates as crazy-obsessed – intensifies.

The trailer also features a surprise appearance by Tamil superstar Suriya, whose cameo has added to the excitement. The two-and-a-half-minute clip is garnering praise across social media, with fans celebrating Akshay's return to form.

In ‘Sarfira’, Akshay plays a man determined to create a low-cost airline for those who can't afford to fly. Directed by Sudha Kongara, the film is an adaptation of the 2020 hit ‘Soorarai Pottru’, which starred Suriya. Alongside his cameo, Suriya joins the production team with Aruna Bhatia, Jyothika, and Vikram Malhotra.

Akshay Kumar, renowned for his versatility, is set to deliver another heartfelt performance in the film releasing in theatres on July 12.

A venture of Cape of Good Films and Abundantia Entertainment, in Association with 2D Entertainment, the film is inspired from the book ‘Simply Fly – A Deccan Odyssey’ by Captain G.R. Gopinath.

Actors completing the cast line-up include Seema Biswas, R. Sarath Kumar, Saurabh Goyal, Krishnakumar Balasubramanian, Irawati Harshe Mayadev, Anil Charanjeett, Prakash Belawadi, Rahul Vohra, among others.
