The wait is over! Sajid Nadiadwala’s highly anticipated comedy franchise ‘Housefull 5’ is all set to hit cinemas this week.
Dubbed a full-blown laughter riot and killer comedy, it is India’s only franchise to reach a fifth installment. The film therefore raises the bar with five times the chaos, five times the drama, and five times the entertainment, the team behind the Housefull brand claims.
The trailer launched recently gave a glimpse into the world of this biggest comedy franchise, setting the tone for what’s clearly going to be a rollercoaster ride of madness and fun on the big screen. It also evokes nostalgia with the famous dialogues and characters that still feel remarkably fresh. Building the franchise to its fifth instalment is not just about scale, it's about sustaining relevance.
Visionary filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala shares: “I’ve been thinking about the story of ‘Housefull 5’ and having two different climaxes for the last 30 years. I’ve always wanted to make a thriller, and the idea finally came to me three-four years ago, right after I finished writing ‘Housefull 4’. I wrote the story and screenplay myself, and it’s truly a dream come true.
“What makes this film unique is that different shows will have altogether different killers and climax. Imagine a 3pm show having one ending, and the 6pm show having another – this is happening across single screens and multiplexes.

An ensemble of 19 stars, ‘Housefull 5’ is the most glam-packet killer comedy ever. Leading the charge is king of comedy Akshay Kumar, joined by returning favourites and some new faces including Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonam Bajwa, Nargis Fakhri, Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Nana Patekar, Chitrangada Singh, Fardeen Khan, Chunky Pandey, Johnny Lever, Shreyas Talpade, Dino Morea, Ranjeet, Soundarya Sharma, Nikitin Dheer, and Akashdeep Sabir.
It is one of the big-budget films shot on a luxurious cruise that journeys from London to France, to Spain and back to the UK. Its glamour, chaos, and comedy on the deck just how the fans love it. The music of the film is already creating waves, with the songs Laal Pari, Dil-E-Nadaan becoming chartbusters and finding its way into party playlists.
