Team England is all set for the inaugural Kho Kho World Cup in India, due to take place at the IGI Stadium Delhi from 13-19 January with teams from 24 countries in the running.
Fielding both a men’s and a women’s team, each squad will feature 15 talented athletes, ready to showcase their skills on the global stage in this thrilling and fast-paced sport. The organisers said players selected from across England have been training for the past two months, including a boot camp over the three-day period between Christmas and New Year in preparation for the competition.
The men’s England team has been drawn in a group that includes Australia, Kenya, Malaysia, and Germany. The women’s England team group includes Uganda, Netherlands, Kenya, Germany, and Australia. The winners of the group stages will progress to the finals stage.
The games will be televised, with content available on Disney Hotstar, Star Sports and Doordarshan channels.
