Born into a traditional family, Arpita Karania was encouraged to pursue a career that was “stable”. This led her to pursue Physics and Astrophysics, with dreams of working at NASA one day.
But as she moved deeper into the world of science, Arpita realised something was missing — soulful connection, feminine flow, and the art of transformation. That’s when life redirected her to embrace the unstoppable force of creativity, wisdom, and abundance within and then help others reclaim it too as a make-up artist.
“There was this feeling that something’s missing here,” she tells Reena Ranger of her decision to jack it all in and retrain.
“I just felt like I needed to be out in the world and be around people and talk to people,” she explains.
Arpita now finds herself at a new juncture in her healing journey, which she delves deep into with this conversation (video above).
“With hair and makeup, when I was like transforming people on the outside, I just felt like there was something deeper that I wanted to do, a deeper transformation, and just help women feel more empowered from the inside,” she reflects.

“At the moment, I've got two programmes which I've set up. One is called Dharma Coaching, which is helping people find their sole mission and sole purpose and the other one is called Aligned Entrepreneur and it's really about helping people who are creatives and artists, which is what I have a lot of passion for. To actually bring their visions into life again,” she adds.
