Neena Gupta, Jackie Shroff gear up for fun film ‘Mast Mein Rehne Ka’ release

Veteran Bollywood actors Jackie Shroff and Neena Gupta are all set to come up with the film 'Mast Mein Rehne Ka' (live life at ease), which releases this week on Amazon Prime Video.

Directed by Vijay Maurya, 'Mast Mein Rehne Ka' is about two people who are old and live alone and who strike up an unexpected connection and embark on a journey filled with laughter, adventure and fun. In the film, Gupta and Shroff will be seen overcoming loneliness in the big city of Mumbai.

While speaking about the theme of the film, the two urged people to add "masti" (fun) to life and stop worrying too much about issues existing in one's life.

Gupta said: "I agree today our life has become difficult. Youngsters are facing a lot of problems... there's so much competition out there but we should not take too much stress in our life. Thoda mast mein bhi hona chayie (There should be some fun too)."
Echoing the same sentiments, Shroff added: "One should maintain a perfect balance in life... be healthy... do Yoga, love nature... use technology but use it for good... Everyone is dealing with some kind of problem in their life..it all depends on how one reacts to it... Take care of health."

'Mast Mein Rehne Ka' will drop on the streaming platform from December 8. Directed by Vijay Maurya, the film also features Abhishek Chauhan and ‘Jamtara’ fame Monika Panwar are among the other stars of this fun film.

Shroff reflects: "As an actor, I have always looked for roles that have allowed me to test my abilities as a performer, roles that are meaningful and different. When I read the script of ‘Mast Mein Rehne Ka’, I was fascinated by how unique the story was and I had an absolute gala time working on this film.

"While my character is that of a 75-year-old man grappling with loneliness, but there's also a certain charm to him, which is charismatic. The character's complexity of being vulnerable, strong, and at the same time being resolute in his life, is something that makes him very relatable. I must congratulate Vijay Maurya, the director, for beautifully capturing my character's emotions."
