Netflix unveils Alia Bhatt’s hacker Keya Dhawan look for spy thriller ‘Heart of Stone’

Since the official trailer for ‘Heart of Stone’ released at the TUDUM Global Fan Event in Brazil over the weekend, Bollywood star Alia Bhatt’s tough spy thriller debut look on the road to Hollywood has been making waves on social media.

Bhatt’s Keya Dhawan character was unravelled along with fellow stars Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan on the TUDUM stage to the sound of ‘Quiet’, a new original song made for the film by artist Noga Erez and available later this summer.

The stars were greeted by more than 10,000 fans in person and many more globally, and closed the show with an epic, action packed trailer for the film which is set for release on Netflix on August 11.

In the spy thriller, Rachel Stone (Gal Gadot) appears to be an inexperienced tech, on an elite MI6 unit headed up by lead agent Parker (Jamie Dornan). What her MI6 team doesn't know is that Stone actually works for the Charter – a covert peacekeeping organisation, secret even from other spies, which uses cutting-edge technology to neutralise global threats.

Stone has been trained to be the consummate professional: a phenomenal field agent who sticks to the mission, follows the numbers, and trusts no one. When a routine mission is derailed by mysterious hacker Keya Dhawan (Alia Bhatt), Rachel Stone's two lives collide.

As she races to protect the Charter and strives to beat the odds, her humanity might just be her biggest asset.

TUDUM is inspired by the sound you hear just before a series or film starts on Netflix and is dubbed by the organisers as the biggest Netflix event worldwide, celebrating its brand-defining films, series, talent, and creators. This year’s global livestream signified the event's return to Brazil – the location of the first TUDUM in-person event in 2020.

This year’s global livestream event, broadcast from Ibirapuera Park (Parque do Ibirapuera) in São Paulo, built upon Netflix’s three-day convention event over the weekend at the Bienal inside the park. Featuring over 2,000 square meters of activities, games, live music and more, the convention gave attendees the chance to see their favourite stars up close.
