Amazon Prime Video has recently announced the release date of its highly anticipated series 'Citadel', starring global Indian actor Priyanka Chopra Jonas in the lead. The globe-trotting spy thriller produced by the Russo Brothers' AGBO and showrunner David Weil stars Richard Madden of 'Bodyguard' and 'Game of Thrones' fame opposite Chopra Jonas.

Bringing gender equality once again in context, Chopra Jonas said that for the first time in her 22-old-career, she had pay parity when she shot 'Citadel'.

"I've been working in the entertainment industry for now 22 years, and I have done about almost 70-plus features and two TV shows, but when I did ‘Citadel’, it was the first time in my career that I had pay parity," she said in a conversation with Amazon Studios head Jennifer Salke at the Southwest Film Festival.

Prime Video has recently debuted the high-octane official trailer of 'Citadel'. The first season of the global series consists of six episodes. The first two episodes will premier on April 28 on Prime Video, and one new episode after that rolling out weekly through May 26.

The show's storyline follows the fall of global spy-agency, ‘Citadel’, which was tasked with upholding the safety and security of all people eight years ago. The agency was destroyed by operatives of Manticore, a powerful syndicate manipulating the world from the shadows.
