A negative thinking habit can start in childhood, after a setback in life or even inherited from someone close in our lives. Years of this habit can spiral into a crisis at some point.

A crisis more than often makes you reflect on our priorities. You come to the realisation that the flash car, big house, high-level position at work etc is not going to make you happy and give a sense of inner fulfilment. But what will help, is a healthy strong resilient physical body and friends and family for support.

Most of all, it is a healthy positive mindset, that eventually heals you and unleashes a positive transformation in your life.

But how do you break this negative thinking habit that is deeply ingrained?

Start a Positive Biography

Take one year of your life at a time staring with your earliest memory. Make a list of everything positive. Your interests, achievements, kind things you did for others, kind things others did for you etc. You can do this together with your family and friends who can remind you of things to add.

Now write your life story from this list that only focuses on the feel good and positive things on your life.  We can help if you are not keen on writing.

Add photos and images, videos, anything that will reinforce those memories. Then talk about it with others and share it as much as you can. Go over your positive biography last thing just before you go to bed, so it sinks in deep into your psyche. Keep adding to this every day or as much as time permits.

This is also a great game or project with children which will help them to grow up with a strong sense of self and confidence.

Everyday make a list of what you have and what has gone well with your friends and family instead of fearing the worst. It is no-good worrying about something which may never happen, but what you have now is real. Be thankful for that.
