London’s iconic Taj 51 Buckingham Gate Suites and Residences marked the birth anniversary of William Shakespeare on April 23 with the launch of its brand-new ‘Midsummer Night’s Dream’ Afternoon Tea – in homage to one of the legendary playwright’s most famous comedies.
Surrounding the beautiful courtyard of the Taj in London is a one of the world's longest Shakespearean sylvan friezes. The unique hand-carved terracotta frieze depicts scenes of some of the most famous Shakespeare plays in intricate detail including – ‘Love’s Labours Lost’, ‘As You Like It’, ‘Much Ado About Nothing’ and, of course, ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’. The Taj Courtyard on its own is a midsummer dream, with its whimsical fountain and seasonal flowers the perfect amuse bouche for the main act, the brand-new afternoon tea.
